No, initially, a phone/tablet with GarageBand will be all you need to get started. As you progress , you will want to invest in your own equipment. By taking lessons, you will get to try a range of instruments and effects.

  • Synthesisers (analogue, digital and soft-synths)

  • Drum Machines

  • A range of dynamic and condenser microphones

  • Different monitoring options

  • A range of plug in's from Waves, Kontakt, Antares.

How regularly should I take lessons ?

This depends on how quickly you want to progress, weekly or bi-weekly lessons are recommended.

Can lessons in music production and piano include some lessons in theory?

Yes, both piano and music production lessons are complimented with some lessons in theory and harmony to help you progress and understand the music you are playing/creating.
